Manuel, Marc, and Fenick On Friday May 01, 2009, my brother Marc graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Gainesville, Florida. I think he graduated with a major and two minors and plans on staying another year for graduate school.  It was my 2nd trip to the college town of Gainesville, Florida since i’ve been living in South Florida.

I drove to the graduation ceremony along with our uncle Louie Jean, very good buddy Frantz, and our cousin Rica. We rented a 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-door with the soft top at a cost of $103 including taxes and special fees for that day.  To start-off, we took I-75 and had to detour we got to Fort Myers.  There was a tractor trailer stuck on the highway and was blocking all northbound lanes.  Frantz and I alternate driving every hour until we got there.  We also had to take a few bathroom breaks too.

We arrive around 2:00 pm  Gainesville and Marc had to provide us with exact directions to his off-campus apartment.  Marc was already dressed in his graduation gown and anxious to leave because we were causing him to be late.  However, he stayed a few extra minutes just to show us around the apartment and give directions to the Conner Center where the graduation ceremony will take place. Then, Marc and my uncle Louie Jean took a few pictures and he left.  Meanwhile, Rica and Frantz were getting ready.

To make a long story short, my mom, dad, brothers, and sisters came and we sang Kuum-Ba-Ya all the way to the graduation and had dinner at iHop.
