Former Haiti Prime Minister, Marc Louis Bazin Former presidential candidate, Marc Louis Bazin, who lost Haiti’s first free presidential election in 1990 and went on to become prime minister, died Wednesday June 16, 2010 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. He was 78.

Patrick Michel, the leader of Bazin’s political party, said the former premier died of cancer.

Haiti Senators want to fire prime minister 0

When I first read the AP article posted at HaitiStartup.com I thought it was the most ridiculous thing the Haitian government can do right now. If they oust the prime minister Michele Pierre-Louis, Haiti will be making a giant step back politically and this type of negative news is not what Haiti needs right now. Michele Pierre-Louis is heavily supported by the U.S State Department and many other foreign nations. I think the people that need to be fired are the ones who want to do the firing. The people of Haiti need to step up and get rid of these bureaucrats by voting them out of office when the opportunity comes.
