Portugal had a field day vs North Korea. This soccer match proved the North Korean team is the weakest team in the FIFA World Cup tournament. Portugal trashed mercilessly North Korea 7-0 and caresses to the World Cup knockout stage. Portugal’s goals were from Meireles, Simao, Almeida, Liedson,Tiago twice and Critiano Ronaldo
Ivory Coast a team known for its offensive plays, played like they weren’t interested in winning or playing soccer in the World Cup. The most controversial play was when Brazil’s Luis Fabiano unintentionally used his arm twice to control the ball and get passed a couple of Ivory Coast defenders for Brazil’s second goal of the game.
Brazil continued to toy around with the Ivory Coast team as 84,455 were on the stand watching. At the 78th minute, the Ivory Coast’s Didier Drogba scored its first goal with a header. The Ivory Coast is the first team to score a goal against Brazil in the FIFA World Cup tournament.
Things turned for the ugly in the 84 minutes of the match as an Ivory Coast player runs into Kaka’s elbow and results in a second yellow card for Kaka, then a red card. Kaka will now be suspended for the next match. It’s clearly shown that Brazil’s coach should’ve taken Kaka out of the game after his first yellow card since Brazil was already winning the game 3-1.
On May 30th 2009, 12 cities were selected to host the World Cup Matches in Brazil. The objective is to try to represent, on these sample cities, our cultural & environmental diversity.
This video aims to pay tribute to these cities which succeeded against other 21 to have the right to host on the VERY friendly and passionate Brazilian way, the national Football teams of our fellow European, Asian, African, Oceania & American countries.
