This evening I was browsing at Baidu, Inc (BIDU) stock quote summary on Google Finance and I noticed it has a market cap of about $24.7 Billion and its common stock is a little over $700/share. According to Reuters.com, The company announced a 10 for 1 stock split on May 12, 2010 which will decrease the share price to $70, assuming its current stock price of around $700/share. This is a Chinese internet services provider that had net income of $70 million in first quarter of 2010. Is this company really worth such huge market cap? If not, is it time to bet against Baidu, Inc.?

YRCW was on the verge of making a comeback until the CEO decided to resigned on Tuesday causing a minor pullback. On Thursday evening United Parcel Service (UPS) reported some good numbers in comparison to same period in 2009. FedEx (FDX) was up in after hours trading and some other transportation companies, including YRCW up 4.61%. YRCW”s shipping volume has been improving and the company’s first quarter 2010 earnings report is scheduled to be released on May 04, 2010. With many beat up companies such as LSTR on the rise and revenue increases, is there be a chance for YRCW to make it out of 2010 alive?

CIT Group Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection 0

Posted on November 01, 2009 by Nick

WASHINGTON (AP) — After struggling for months to avert bankruptcy, lender CIT Group has filed for Chapter 11 protection in an attempt to restructure its debt while trying to keep badly needed loans flowing to thousands of mid-sized and small businesses.

One of the worst news or the least you want to hear from a company your holding shares or call options of. Of course I did make many attempts to sell all my 65 option contracts but there were no buyers. I’m slowly learning to trade the hard way. My total loss for this bad trade is about $800 on margin.

CIT made the filing in New York bankruptcy court Sunday, after a debt-exchange offer to bondholders failed. CIT said in a statement that its bondholders overwhelmingly opted for a prepackaged reorganization plan which will reduce total debt by $10 billion while allowing the company to continue to do business.
